Fractured Mind

Forehead lined with worry

ninety scenarios

from a single thought

stick to her like

insects on fly paper

If only she could

unhinge from this frame of mind

Hours – turn to days – turn to weeks

simple truths slip though desperate fingers

Reality now muddled

  1. stick to her like insects on fly paper…………what a great line! And “if only she could unhinge….” like the way you’ve used this line as a solution. I’ve mainly heard people becoming “unhinged” with the word used in a negative way here. Nice twist there.

    • Thank you. Being “hinged” to me is being bolted, unable to move. My thoughts can hinge me to a wall that I can’t get away from.

Thanks for reading. Glad you liked it. πŸ™‚
